About Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a recognized form of therapy by the Canadian Cancer Society, B.C. Doctors, Health Link B.C., 

among other Global Health Organizations. Hypnosis has been used for a long as records have been kept. 

Modern clinical hypnosis is dated from the late 1700s, and the use of hypnotherapy has grown by leaps and bounds since 1958 "

Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis to treat physical or psychological conditions.

It's a form of therapy that uses relaxation, extreme concentration, and intense attention, to achieve a heightened state of consciousness or mindfulness.

This form of therapy utilizes one’s mind to help reduce or alleviate a variety of issues, such as psychological distress, phobias, fear, and unhealthy, destructive, or dangerous habits.

The aim of hypnotherapy is to create a positive change in an individual, while they are in a state of deep relaxation.

You must be willing to focus your attention and follow the suggestions of the therapist to allow hypnotherapy to work.

In some cases hypnotherapy is combined with cognitive therapy or other relaxation and behavioral techniques.

How effective is Hypnotherapy?

Very effective! In a study conducted by clinical psychologist Dr Alfred Barrios (B.S. Caltech, PhD. UCLA), he notes that “… for psychoanalysis we can expect a recovery rate of 38% after approximately 600 sessions. For [Behaviour] therapy, we can expect a recovery rate of 72% after an average of 22 sessions, and for hypnotherapy, we can expect a recovery rate of 93% after an average of 6 sessions.”

About Nature Therapy

Nature Therapy, also known as Forest Therapy, Forest Bathing, & Shinrin Yoku, is a form of therapy that takes you out into nature to become one with it, as we were meant to be. 

We have been conditioned, indoctrinated if you will, to exist in cities, with concrete buildings, busy streets, wifi/emf radiation, riding in cars, and hurrying about, eating food like substances, and becoming more unhealthy than at any other time in history.

Nature Therapy isn't simply walking in the woods. You will immerse your senses in the atmosphere of Nature for relaxation and positive health and wellness benefits. You will learn how real food creates health and wellness, in both body and mind.

As we strengthen our connection with the natural world, our sense of beauty, wonder, awe and curiosity is restored and our brains and nervous system are calmed. Stress levels are lowered and the immune system is boosted. 

Nature Therapy is underpinned by mindfulness principals, encouraging the opening of the senses to Natures atmosphere, slowly walking through Nature, inhaling the fresh air, and fostering an emotional connection to the landscape. 

Moments of grounding will be practiced, and that is where one touches the earth and connects with it, while relaxing and gaining a true calmness. 

In Nature Therapy, the Therapist works in partnership with Nature to enhance nature connection, thus encouraging reciprocity between people and nature. It is grounded in the practice of sensory connection and immersing the senses in Nature and aims to enhance social connections and increase social capital to aid inclusiveness. 

In this way, Nature Therapy can act as an adjunct to standard treatment and rehabilitation for specific illnesses.

About Clinical Research

SHINE does research annually. To participate is free. 

All research therapy is specific to an issue and has certain prerequisites. 

Pre, during, and Post forms will be required to be filled out by all participants. 

Follow up at the 6 month and 12 month mark may be required. The follow up consists of forms that can be emailed.   

While all names and personal information is kept strictly confidential, the research outcomes, and any situations related to the research therapy, pre, during and post, until wrap up, is 100% the property of SHINE, and will be collected for the purpose of publishing in medical journals, and other medical research publications.

SHINE is a 100% natural, organic, holistic Therapy Clinic, therefore, no pharmaceuticals will be prescribed or allowed to be taken by the participants for the length of the in-house research. Times will vary on this, depending on the type of research being studied. 

Healthy, clean supplements may be provided if they are thought to be critical to the testing.

Fundamentals of NeuroscienceTina began her natural healing path in 2007, in Organic Nutrition, Distinctive Biology and Mindful Therapies. Receiving education and researching around the world, from Canada, the USA, the U.K., Morocco, Australia, China and Indonesia; Gaining knowledge and experience. With her M.B.A. and B.Sc(Psych) - she continued her education in the Natural Health modalities such as, Organic Nutrition, Hypnotherapy, Forrest Therapy (Shinrin Yoku) and additional studies on brain therapies & Behavioral Psychology.  She witnessed first-hand what these modalities did for people, and she was excited.

Returning home to Canada in 2018, she chose to make her home in lovely, Victoria B.C. An Island girl originally, she had left many years ago, and has now come full circle.

She has worked very hard to bring Shine Hypnotherapy to fruition, and bring these amazing natural health modalities, intermingled with traditional therapy and life science, to Victoria, and share it with all of you.

It's a technique that she developed to help resolve the symptoms of trauma in ones mind/body, such as anxiety, stress, PTSD, anger, chronic pain, and other issues. It's a holistic guidance approach that utilizes hypnotherapy within the sessions, & helps reset & establish a natural flow in ones self. Negative symptoms are the body’s way of communicating that the flow & the rhythm of our system is out of regulation.  M.A.A.P covers various interwoven focus areas.  M.A.A.P Theory creates a structure in which the patient is responsible for their own recovery with the help of the Therapist. This has found to provide life long positive change to the patients, as they end their therapy with the understanding that they are in control & responsible for themselves, & they will significantly increase their ability to achieve both their individual & collective dreams.

Tina remains tireless in her research and studies. She is in a constant pattern of learning, researching, and implementing, to become a leader in the industry. However, Tina has many other interests and has been described as a Polymath by her peers. Although, she simply describes herself as a lover of all things earthbound and intrigued by most animals, including the terrestrial animal (humans).

In her work, her on-going personal dedication allows her to supercharge each individual Therapy  session and bring about change for her patients. Tina is a firm believer in the minds ability to visualize, conquer and manifest whatever we desire. It's not a magic pill however, the patient needs to want to change, and dedicate themselves to it.

She has 20 years of experience as a Global Business Consultant, Mentor, & Coach. 


Tina has 1.5 years of interdisciplinary studies in virology.  She's an actor, and an Influencer. Tina has been a International Business Consultant, a Travel and Ski guide, 

a Private Investigator, a Model, an Events Promoter, & more.

She has always followed her interests & dreams, no matter how many times they changed.
